BlueSky Educational Policies and Practices

  • Anti-Slavery Policy

    It goes without saying that BlueSky Mentoring has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and that we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.

  • Staff Behaviour Policy

    This behaviour code outlines the conduct expected of staff, freelancers and volunteers from BlueSky Educational Services, who engage with children and young people through BES and its activities.

  • Code of behaviour for children

    This code sets out the behaviour that is expected of young people when engaging in services provided by BlueSky Mentoring. It has been shaped by the views of young people.

  • Data Protection Policy

    Our data protection policy sets out our commitment to and legal requirements for protecting the personal data we process, and how we implement that commitment with regards to the collection and use of personal data.

  • Equality & Diversity Policy

    BlueSky Educational Services is wholeheartedly committed to the principles of equal opportunity, both as an employer and as a provider of services to others.

  • IT and Internet Safety Policy

    BlueSky Educational Services Ltd works with children and families as part of its activities. The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

  • Lone Working Policy

    Our lone working guidelines work alongside our Safer Working Practices policy and are set out below. Transporting young people is also covered as a related area, along with considerations around gender.

  • Making a complaint

    If you have a problem with the way we provide a service and it can’t be put right at the time, you can make a complaint. Anyone who uses BlueSky Mentoring services can make a complaint.

  • Management of Disclosures Policy

    In accordance with section 124 of the Police Act 1997, Disclosure information is only passed to those who are authorised to receive it in the course of their duties and is only used for the specific purpose.

  • Mentoring Policy

    Coaching and mentoring are intended to be positive methods of encouraging individuals to unlock their potential and maximise their own work performance. This policy outlines the expectations of our mentors.

  • Missing Children Policy and Procedures

    Children’s safety is maintained as the highest priority at BlueSky Mentoring, both on and off premises. We achieve this through strict monitoring of registers and the rigorous application of off-site protocol.

  • Staff Complaints Procedure

    Where an Employee has a grievance which involves other members of the Staff, he or she should first of all endeavour to resolve the matter by direct approach to the person involved or in discussion with their line manager.

  • Use of Reasonable Force Policy

    The safety and wellbeing of all students and staff are paramount. While mentoring students, it is essential to maintain a supportive and positive environment that fosters personal growth, emotional safety, and respect.

  • Whistleblowing Policy

    BlueSky Educational Services (BES) is committed to ensuring that we meet the highest standards for propriety, delivery of services, protection of our staff, volunteers, young people and members of the public.
