Our BlueSky Team
Meet Tina, BlueSky’s Head SEN Tutor.
Tutoring focus: Dyslexia and specific learning differences (SpLD), Maths and English
Approach: Structured, supportive teaching that builds confidence and independence in learning
Hi, I’m Tina.
I am BlueSky’s Head SEN Tutor, specialising in supporting learners with dyslexia and specific learning differences (SpLD). My focus is helping young people build confidence in their learning while developing practical strategies that support independence and long-term progress.
I aim to create a calm, structured and supportive environment where students feel understood, capable and motivated to engage with their learning.
I am a qualified Dyslexia Practitioner (QTS) accredited through the British Dyslexia Association, where I hold professional membership. This allows me to carry out informal curriculum-based assessments and deliver specialist teaching programmes for learners with dyslexia.
Alongside specialist dyslexia support, I provide tutoring in Maths and English, working with both primary and secondary learners.
Since 2018, I have supported students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in school, home and online settings, working one-to-one and in small groups. My experience includes supporting neurodiverse learners, working with autistic students, and leading wellbeing, nurture and Language for Thinking groups to help develop confidence in communication and learning.
I am passionate about helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to become more independent learners.
