Our BlueSky Team

Meet Lauren, BlueSky SEN Mentor.

Mentoring focus: Coaching individuals to find their strengths and find a path forward.
Approach: Walking alongside young people to help build their resilience and self-worth.

Hey I’m Lauren.

My background centres on walking alongside young people through crisis to a steady and stable place. I have spent my career supporting others to find their voice, and to identify the stabilising people and things in their lives. I am a qualified coach, which allows me to hold space and build relationships that help others to identify their strengths and use them to find a path forward.

I am guided by each individual, their mindset, their pace, and their interests, to help them understand what they need to successfully climb over the fallen tree in their way, and use the branches to build the tools for the journey ahead. Self-compassion sits at the centre of my work, and I believe that all young people benefit from learning this skill as early as possible to help build resilience and self-worth.

I have experience working with young people in mental health crises, experiencing housing instability, young parents, and refugees in the UK and Aotearoa, New Zealand.
