Our BlueSky Team
Meet Jo, BlueSky’s Art Tutor and Therapist.
Jo Millak is an artist, art therapist and educator who believes in the power of creativity to build confidence, curiosity and self-expression.
His sessions offer a calm and supportive space where young people can explore ideas, develop practical skills and experience the satisfaction that comes from creating something of their own. Jo enjoys working across a range of mediums, with a particular passion for textiles, sculpture, printmaking and drawing. He often incorporates recycled and found materials into his work, encouraging creative thinking while helping young people develop awareness of the world around them.
Jo is a certified Talking and Drawing Therapy practitioner and is qualified to deliver the Silver Arts Award. He has experience working in school settings supporting students with special educational needs both one-to-one and in small groups, helping young people engage with creativity in ways that build confidence and independence.
Outside of his teaching work, Jo continues to develop his own artistic practice, exhibiting locally and contributing to community projects including Voices Gloucester’s “Belonging / Unbelonging.”
